The obituary column
The Shopify App Graveyard
Every app below was alive on the Shopify App Store — and now isn't. Each one leaves the same thing behind: merchants who paid for a job to be done, suddenly shopping for a replacement. For a developer, that's not an obituary. It's a brief.

About this graveyard
- Why do Shopify apps get delisted?
- Most delistings are developer-initiated sunsets: the app stopped being profitable, the team moved on, or an acquisition consolidated products. Others are removed by Shopify for unmet platform requirements. Either way, the outcome for merchants is the same — the app disappears from the store and eventually stops working.
- What happens to merchants when an app is delisted?
- Installed merchants usually keep limited functionality for a while, but no new installs are possible and support winds down. Every review the dead app collected is a merchant who paid for that job to be done — and now needs a replacement.
- How is this data collected?
- PartnerLens recrawls the entire Shopify App Store daily and diffs the catalog. When a listed app disappears, it lands here with its last-known rating and review count. Apps that come back are marked relisted and removed from the graveyard.
