Overview
Dynasort automates collection and product merchandising for Shopify stores with large or complex catalogs, using 25+ data points (sales, inventory, reviews, metafields) and reusable sorting "recipes" that apply across thousands of collections. It targets merchants who would otherwise re-sort collections by hand.
What users love
Reviewers praise the depth and flexibility of the custom sorting recipes, the ability to handle very large catalogs, and the hours saved versus manual merchandising. The standout theme is fast, hands-on support — several reviewers name the team member who helped them directly.
Common complaints
The most common friction is a learning curve: a few reviewers note it takes time to understand the scoring/recipe logic and that the interface looks plain at first. One critical reviewer hit a sorting problem, which the developer attributes to a theme-level "best selling" override rather than the app itself.
Who it's best for
Best for mid-to-large merchants with big, seasonal catalogs who need automated, rules-based merchandising and value responsive support over a polished UI.
What merchants say about Dynasort
In practice, it's a completely non-working app, just a waste of time — two days of back-and-forth with support, all for nothing, very annoying generic replies with no substance, zero specifics, they couldn't even set up the basic rules
The way this team works is so impressive. We have a variety of complex functionalities and they built so many tailor made solutions that work seamlessly. We have used a variety of tools (Algolia, Boost, Sort'd, Fast Simon) and this app has been the only solution that can handle what we do. Fashion with as many SKUs as we have is so difficult and I am continually impressed.
This app is a time saver since I no longer have to manually sort my collections based on highest quantity on hand each time something sells. Wade is super quick to answer any questions I have, which is rare for Shopify apps. 1000% recommend this app!
Takes a bit of time to understand the logic of the scoring, but it can be really powerful once you get the hang of it. The support from Wade has been stellar - fast, proactive, flexible and immediately understands the issue before implementing a fix.
I have been using this app for about a year and it is one of my favourites. It moves all my out-of-stock products to the bottom of collections and also helps with SEO, since a well-sorted collection page means more user engagement. The app lets you write your own "recipes"/algorithms for sorting, flexible enough to cover all bases through seasonality. The support is second to none — Wade fixed my …
Great app with Exceptional Support! Dynasort has been a game-changer for our Shopify store. The app is super intuitive, making it easy to sort and create custom collections that showcase our products and boost visibility. What truly sets Dynasort apart is their outstanding support team — Wade always responds quickly and goes above and beyond.
Found it on the app store... the UI looked average but I thought we would give it a whirl. Bottom line: this app is a sleeping giant. I am not super techie so it took a few hours to get the hang of it, but when I did it BLEW MY MIND. We have thousands of styles and merchandising them is a full time job. This took the burden away — I set up different metrics for our major categories and I can sleep…
Dynasort is a merchandising life saver! Not only does it save time from doing the work manually but the metrics actually do a better job than we could do manually. I love that you can get very granular if that suits your needs but also keep things generic for collections that call for it. Highly recommend!
